Design has played a huge part of my life ever since I was young. I grew up in a small town in North Carolina, where I have fond memories of going with my Grandmother to antique and secondhand stores hunting for unique finds. This helped me develop the design aesthetic I use today where I love to combine unique finds with classic pieces.
Now residing in Pittsburgh, PA with my husband Justin, I love wrapping up in a soft cozy blanket to watch Netflix, getting dressed up to go see a new theater show or ballet, and making blueberries waffles on Sunday morning.
I am so honored that you are visiting my page. I look forward to meeting you, discussing design ideas for your event and where I can help in the process.
I graduated from college (NC State, Go Wolfpack!) with a degree similar to Fashion Merchandising. Equipped with that degree and an eye for design I ended up working at Busch Gardens Williamsburg as an Assistant Visual Merchandiser when my Husband and I moved there after college. After designing for my own wedding, helping friends with theirs and taking a floral crown class taught by Courtney Inghram, I knew that I had a passion and talent for creating with flowers.
I don't see myself as a competitive person but I do have to admit I get pretty competitive when it comes to playing board games. My Husband and I have a whole room in our house dedicated to it and a pretty large collection of board games that is consistently expanding and growing. It is hard for me to pic a favorite board game but I would say it’s probably a tie between a traditional game like Monopoly and a game called Ticket to Ride.
I created this company so I could use my passion and design skills to help clients develop and execute an event where they can celebrate life’s special events and make memories with their loved ones. I believe that the smallest details and personal touches can make the biggest impact so that is why I help clients design, plan, and execute those details to perfection. This belief drives my desire to help clients design, plan, and deliver a stylish and meaningful event.
After getting engaged I went out and bought every bridal magazine I could find. I remember I would carry around this huge bag that probably weighed 10 pounds. I was excited, nervous, and a little overwhelmed. There were so many choices from venue, to colors, to flowers, to invitations, but after designing and planning my wedding successfully I fell in love with the process. Getting to transform a space where my friends and family could come together and help celebrate was truly so rewarding and I feel blessed to get to do that for my clients.
